Tubes are classified differently from pipes. Tubes are typically smaller and clustered together. High-pressure water is used to unclog tubes throughout a plant to keep the production and heat transfer efficient. The need for cleaning arises because the transported medium can cause deposits which build up in the tubes and cause obstructions.
Over time, corrosion of the tubes can also be a cause of reduced tube efficiency or even tube failure. Jetstream tube cleaning products can remove unwanted deposits and buildup in heat exchangers, boilers, fin fans and piping systems.
Industries
Industry | Primary Use | Pressures (psi) |
Chemical | Heat exchangers, boilers and fin fans | 10,000 to 20,000 |
Military | Boiler system cleaning (conventional p-fire boilers) | 10,000 |
Marine | Clean and maintain submarine RPFW (Reactor Plant Fresh Water) tubes, heat exchangers and condenser tubes from seawater deposits, marine growth, and scale buildup | 10,000 to 20,000 |
Oil Field | Clean drill pipe used for down hole drilling, clean out Coil Tubing once it is fabricated to remove slag, grease and dirt | 10,000 |
Petrochemical | Clean out tubes throughout the plant including removing unwanted deposits and build up in heat exchangers, boilers, fin fans and piping systems | 10,000 to 20,000 |
Power Generation | Clean preheater tubes, condenser tubes and boiler tubes. Majority of this cleaning is done on the exterior of the tubes but there is some tube cleaning in the condensers | 10,000 to 20,000 |
Pulp & Paper | Clean liquor lines to allow products for flow efficiently | 10,000 to 20,000 |
Rubber Processing | Clean latex, chemigun, SBR and water scale in facility to keep the plant running and efficient | 10,000 to 20,000 |
Steel | Clean coke, water scale, ore or lime build up in heat exchanger | 10,000 to 20,000 |
